Degree (Materials Science) from Dresden University of Technology, Germany. 1999 became a Professor and head of PV lab of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Science. From 2004 Professor and director of the Institute for Solar Energy Systems, Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), Guangzhou. In 2010 director of Shunde SYSU Institute for Solar Energy. Chairman of Academic Commission of State Key Lab of Photovoltaic Sci. and Tech (Trina Solar); chairman of Technical Commission of State Center of Engineering and Technological Research (the 48th institute in Changsha) Main Scientific Interests: Materials research, Solar photovoltaic cells, system and applications.
