Andreas Liebheit is Head of the new Global Business Unit Heraeus Photovoltaics.
As of January 1, 2015, the Heraeus Group started to manage the business in Global Business Units (GBUs) that are organized by function and close to their markets (LINK Portalnews GBUs).
One of the seven new GBUs is Heraeus Photovoltaics. It was formed from the Photovoltaic Silver Pastes business unit in the Electronic Materials Division of Heraeus Precious Metals (HPM-ELD). Andreas Liebheit, who has already led the Shanghai-based BU for one year, is to take the helm. Before coming to Heraeus, he held leadership positions with a focus in sales, marketing, and business development for companies in the photovoltaics and semiconductor industries in China, Japan, and Germany, among them Infineon SE. Liebheit earned a master's degree in Physics from Munich University, studying in Münster and Montpellier. He is married and has one child.
