The Global Solar Associations Meeting, with the theme of “Cooperation, Innovation and Win-Win”, will take place on May 27 during SNEC 2018 at Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai. It proposes that different countries and their people should clarify goals, coordinate actions and strengthen cooperation so that solar energy will soon become the mainstream energy on the earth.

This conference is set to be a big family party of solar and other clean energies. It is jointly launched by Global Solar Council (GSC), Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA), New Energy Industry Association for Asia and the Pacific (NEIAAP) and Shanghai New Energy Industry Association (SNEIA). The main attendees will be the responsible people and representatives of the related industrial organization, from not only the areas where the scientific research, production and application of solar energy have already been well developed such as Asia, Europe and North America, but also the areas where the new energy development is just begun such as Africa, South Pacific and Latin America. Other attendees include many trans-regional industrial coordinating organizations, for examples, China Africa Renewable Energy Cooperation and Innovation Alliance, Int’l (Shanghai) Green Energy Innovation Center, and so on.

These organizations, representatives and leading solar companies will communicate about the great changes of the solar and new energy markets happening in different countries and regions since they have launched various incentive policies after the "Paris Agreement" was passed in 2015. They will also discuss the existing problems in the development of new energy market and how to solve these problems. Except for adopting innovative measures in mechanism, science, technology, finance, etc., we should clarify our goals, coordinate our actions, strengthen our cooperation, resolve the differences and improve the efficiency to accelerate the development, popularization and application of the clean, economical and sustainable solar energy, finally making it become the mainstream energy on the earth and completely replace the traditional fossil energy. And on this base, we will create and seek more new opportunities for multi-wins together.

Attendees of this meeting will also include Mr. Gongshan Zhu, the Chairman of Global Solar Council (GSC) and the chairman of Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA); Mr. Pranav R. Mehta, the Chair-elect of the Global Solar Council (GSC) and the chairman of National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI), and the co-chairmen of Global Solar Council (GSC) including Mr. Jifan Gao, the President of China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA); Mr. Gianni Chianetta of Italia Solare; Mr. Bruce Douglas of Solar Power Europe; Mr. Jose Donoso of Union Espanola Fotovoltaica (UNEF); Mr. Rodrigo Sauaia of Associação Brasileira de Energia Solar Fotovoltaica (ABSOLAR), etc. Under the common support of many global associations, China Africa Renewable Energy Cooperation and Innovation Alliance will launch a declaration of "Say Farewell to Darkness, Enjoy the Sunlight! ". On behalf of the global solar energy companies, they are sending a strong signal to the world, calling on governments of different countries and regions and their people to further strengthen their support to the solar and new energy, so that the human beings can move into the new era of shared clean energy early.
